My name is Evangelist Jenny Kelly, many of my friends know me as Jenny Powell, and well I got married.  I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.  I am blessed to be the mother of four children, and four grand children.  I started playing piano at 12 years old under our good friend, Mother Jeanette Steel for a couple of years.  At that time my church was “Bibleway’s Temple of Prayer”, I sang in the choir and I was a part of the “Junior Missionary Department”.  Later I took an interest in playing the organ when I was about 15 years old.  I remember being the first musician, choir director and youth leader at my Aunt, Bishop Julia Shaffer’s church, “God’s House of Prayer in Cleveland”, under that leadership several years later I became the National Youth Leader of the “Glorious Body of Christ”.

In the late 90’s I recorded and sang in a gospel quartet group called: “Bill Spivey and the Operators”.  During this time we appeared on TV with “Bobby Jones Gospel Hour”.  We also toured to various churches in the South.  I took great pleasure in singing and traveling with other singing groups as well.

I am to this day a Minister and the Minister of Music at my present church, “Anathoth Missionary Baptist Church”, where I also married my husband, Reverend William Kelly. I am especially known for my anointing in “Praise and Worship”.

Saving the best for last, I was so blessed to own and operate my own business called: “Jenny’s Wunderland Child Enrichment Center” for better than “40” years I served Families and my Community. 

Now I have retired and I am looking forward to enjoying this new chapter of my life Singing and becoming  a “Recording Gospel Artist”.
